Simon is the Managing Director of Anti Corrosion Technology (ACT) and heads the operations and logistics of the company. He also manages ACT’s professional sales team. Simon graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 1997 with a Bachelor of Business and has over 25 years’ experience in business and marketing. Prior to joining Anti Corrosion Technology in 2009, Simon commenced an advertising career in 1997 working inside top tier advertising agencies managing blue-chip accounts around Australia. He provided clients with efficient and consistent marketing and communication solutions and worked on a strategic level with senior management offering clients clever solutions for their brands. During his career, Simon also owned and operated a property management business and is still a Managing Partner of a well-established boutique marketing and advertising agency that he and his business partner started in March 2004. Simon’s newly found passion for engineering – in particular corrosion prevention for the Australian pipeline industry – has been the driving force behind Anti Corrosion Technology’s continued success since the company’s focus turned to the Australian and New Zealand market in the beginning of 2009. Simon has built and maintained a strong and trusted relationship with ACT’s national and international partners, Clients and Suppliers.

Susanne is Anti Corrosion Technology’s Operations and Administration Manager. Susanne graduated from Ludwigs-Maximilian-University in Germany with a Master of Business Administration (majoring in Taxation, Accounting and Auditing). She has received her accreditation as a certified accountant in 1999 and has completed a Bridging course in Australian Taxation Law at Central Queensland University in 2011. Since 1997, Susanne worked in senior and managerial posts for major companies such as Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Munich’s Tax and Legal Department and the International Assignment Solution Unit as a Tax Manager dealing with international expatriates from all over the world. She also managed the payroll, financial accounting and auditing of the Small Business Unit’s blue-chip client base. Susanne’s knowledge in accounting & finance, as well as her strong administrative background, enhances ACT’s day-to-day operations and logistic service whilst she continues to build and maintain strong and trusted business relationships with ACT’s internal and external stakeholders.
William Tasi brings something unique to Anti Corrosion Technology by the way of his extensive experience in the field running projects applying STOPAQ® to various complex configurations to ensure perfection. As ACT’s Senior Technical Specialist, his drive is to ensure 100% client satisfaction and perfection in all STOPAQ® applications conducted in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. William’s experience spans over 12 years applying his knowledge in Asset Maintenance, Building and Construction with Protective coatings experience across the Industrial and Commercial industries. Will is on call with technical advice on STOPAQ® applications since his exposure to STOPAQ® since 2014 on projects like Wheatstone & Karratha Gas Plant. He is also responsible for recommending and specifying fit for purpose STOPAQ® systems for all applications. Will is a STOPAQ® Trainer & Certifier for STOPAQ® applications and works day-to-day on developing business potential with all the major Oil and Gas, Mining and Water operators all around Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. On request of ACT’s Clients, Will can prepare and issue work packs including the relevant QA/QC documentation for an array of STOPAQ® projects.
Margarita is Anti Corrosion Technology’s Engineering Services Manager and offers our clients high quality engineering solutions in the fields of materials engineering, corrosion, and asset integrity management. Margarita has extensive technical and consulting experience in Materials and Mechanical Engineering, Corrosion, Engineering Failure Analysis and Asset Integrity inspections within the Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Water, and Infrastructure industries. Margarita is a subject matter expert in the field of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) of steels and has also researched extensively in the fields of mechanical and corrosion optimisation of light alloys and welding metallurgy, from which technical papers and presentations have been produced. Through her various consulting and technical roles for the private industry, she has conducted root cause analysis of failures, identification of contentious issues for legal and insurance clients, and resolution of disputes by relaying informed and evidence-based recommendations and solutions to clients and key stakeholders. She has also extensively conducted third-party asset integrity inspections, technical reviews, and auditing of assets. Margarita has managed NATA accredited mechanical and materials laboratories as well as multidisciplinary Biocorrosion Research facilities. Her strong knowledge and research background, in combination with her industry and commercial experience, have been instrumental in forming strong relationships with diverse technical and multidisciplinary teams within Industry, Academia and Research organisations.
Johann Chua is a Mechanical Engineering professional with more than 20 years of experience in the Asset Integrity field within the Oil and Gas Industry. Johann’s career spans the Upstream Oil & Gas, LNG and Downstream Refining sectors with roles in the Inspection & Integrity, Materials & Corrosion, Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering fields. Prior to joining Anti Corrosion Technology, he led a multidisciplinary team of inspection, materials & corrosion, mechanical and lifting engineering personnel in an LNG facility. As a discipline engineering Technical Authority, he was responsible for ensuring technical integrity of mechanical static assets across the facility. Johann is on-call for Engineering Services including inspection operational support, RBI reviews and assessment for your facility.
Andru Bak is a Mechanical Engineer professional with 23 years operational asset owner experience in the field of Asset Integrity within the Oil and Gas Industry. Andru’s career as an Asset integrity Engineer has spanned over 6 LNG facilities and 3 Offshore production facilities. As the Lead Integrity Engineer for an offshore facility in Australia, Andru was responsible for overseeing and leading the Inspection and integrity programs for the facility after commissioning, ensuring compliance to the required safety case and regulatory requirements. Andru’s extensive experience in the field of Inspection, along with his exposure to STOPAQ® since 2008, will contribute to the future growth of Anti Corrosion Technology where he will lead in the Western Australian sector. Andru is on-call on for Engineering Services including inspection operational support for your facility (be it shutdown assignment or inspection scope development) as well as RBI review, assessment and reporting. He is also responsible for recommending and specifying fit for purpose STOPAQ® systems for all applications. Andru is a STOPAQ® Trainer & Certifier for STOPAQ® applications and works day-to-day on developing business potential with all the major Oil & Gas, Mining and Water operators in Western Australia and beyond. On request of ACT’s Clients, Andru can prepare and issue work packs including the relevant QA/QC documentation for an array of STOPAQ® projects.
Mei Li [more fondly known as “May”] joined the Anti Corrosion Technology team in April 2024 as an Administration Coordinator based in our Perth office. May graduated from Murdoch University (WA) in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Management & Marketing) and brings to the team a wealth of knowledge in all things administration and business to ensure that her peers and clients experience exceptional customer service. May aspires to continually learn and seek ways to streamline office operations and grow within the team. During the workday, May can be found answering customer phone calls and email enquiries, as well as organising all your STOPAQ training needs on the West Coast. Outside of office hours, May enjoys embracing the outdoors and spending valuable time with her family & friends.
Grace joined the Anti Corrosion Technology team in April 2023 as an Administration Coordinator in our Brisbane Office. She comes with years of experience providing exceptional service to clients in an administrative and sales industry. Grace strives to continually learn and face challenges head on, working alongside her peers. A valued member of the ACT team, Grace happily answers your calls, responds promptly to your enquiries, coordinates your orders and deliveries as well as manages all of your training enquiries on the East Coast, as well as in New Zealand and PNG. Outside of office hours, Grace enjoys adventuring outdoors, as well as spending time with her pets, friends and family.
Daniel Faccio is a Civil Engineer professional with 26 years in strategic planning, asset management, maintenance planning and delivery, and operational asset owner experience within the water, wastewater, and stormwater Industry. Daniel’s career as a Civil Engineer has spanned across both public and private sectors. As a Senior Asset Engineer for maintenance planning and delivery, Daniel was responsible for overseeing and planning the maintenance delivery and project planning/management/ delivery for tier 1 contractors, water utilities and local councils in Southeast Queensland and regional Queensland. Daniel’s extensive experience in the field of maintenance inspection program and rehabilitation, along with his adoption of STOPAQ® technology on several water utilities asset classes since 2010, will contribute to the future growth of Anti Corrosion Technology where he will lead in the Queensland sector. Daniel is on-call for Engineering Services including asset inspection, maintenance planning, rehabilitation solutions, and complex project planning/delivery for your asset rehabilitation needs, as well as condition assessment and reporting. He is also responsible for recommending and specifying fit for purpose STOPAQ® systems for all applications. Daniel is a STOPAQ® Trainer & Certifier for STOPAQ® applications and works day-to-day on developing business potential with all the water, wastewater, and stormwater Industry operators both public and private sectors in Queensland and beyond. Daniel’s strong Engineering knowledge and Project delivery, in combination with his industry and commercial experience, will ensure appropriate outcomes for our clients.
Mark Brown is a vital addition to the Anti Corrosion Technology (ACT) team, bringing with him over 29 years of extensive experience in the Corrosion Control sector across Australia, the Middle East, and the UK. His profound knowledge spans Asset Management, Project Development, Blasting and Painting, Construction and Maintenance, with a particular expertise in protective coatings within commercial and industrial sectors. As ACT’s Project Development Manager, Mark is committed to delivering 100% satisfaction and maintaining a standard of excellence in Corrosion Control throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. His vast industry experience, including his involvement with STOPAQ® since 2014 on projects such as Olympic Dam and Clements Gap Wind Farm, positions him as a key contributor to the future evolution of Anti Corrosion Technology. Mark is also responsible with recommending and specifying appropriate STOPAQ® systems for various applications. He has led a diverse team of Quality Control and Paint Inspectors, creating opportunities to actively develop business opportunities with major Oil and Gas, Mining, and Marine operators, with a particular focus on the Renewables industry. At the request of ACT’s clients, Mark can prepare and issue work packs, including all relevant QA/QC documentation for an array of STOPAQ® projects.
