Reducing the down time before burial or immersion, STOPAQ® is cold applied with no curing time or coating required. This enables a single applicator to execute and complete field joint coatings with minimal surface preparation requirements on almost all pipeline coating systems which require
burial or immersion once application works have been completed. These materials are easy and simple to use and ensure complete corrosion protection, for a wide range of temperature as STOPAQ® products are viable between -45 °C to + 120 °C.

CZH Wrappingband
STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZH is a corrosion preventing wrap material that adheres extremely well to steel and plant applied pipeline coatings like PE, PP and FBE.
STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZH is a non-toxic, cold-applied, prefabricated wrap coating, based on a compound consisting of non-crystalline, low-viscosity, non-crosslinked (fully amorphous), pure homopolymer Polyisobutene. It is viscous at the indicated operating temperatures and due to its liquid nature, it has a set of unique properties like cold-flow into all irregularities of the substrate and self-healing of the complete coating system. The compound does not cure and is unable to build up internal stress. It is fully resistant to water and has a low gas- and water vapour permeability.
Pipes and vessels: For protection against external corrosion of buried, submerged or above ground carbon steel, alloy steel and ductile iron pipelines and vessels.
Field joints: For protection against external corrosion of buried, submerged or above ground carbon steel and alloy steel pipeline girth-weld joints.
Fittings: For protection against external corrosion of buried, submerged or above ground carbon steel, alloy steel and ductile iron pipe fittings such as elbows, bends, tees, flanges, etc.
Pipe coating repair and rehabilitation: For coating repair and rehabilitation of pipeline coating defects as e.g. in accordance with ISO 21809-11.
PVC Outerwrap
STOPAQ® Outerwrap PVC is a flexible tape that is used for the mechanical protection of STOPAQ® corrosion preventative coating systems for buried and submerged pipelines that further comprise STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZ or STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZH. It is made of a flexible UV-resistant polyvinyl chloride backing and a modified pressure sensitive rubber resin adhesive. It has good adhesion to the outer surface of the STOPAQ® Wrappingband as well as to its own backing. It also provides good resistance to impacts and indentations, and is also resistant to chemicals like alkalis and acids.
As part of STOPAQ® corrosion preventative coatings applied on pipelines and vessels, it is applied as the mechanical protection of STOPAQ® corrosion preventative coating systems for buried and submerged pipelines that further comprise STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZ or STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZH.

Field joints: As part of STOPAQ® corrosion preventative coatings applied on girth-weld joints of pipeline structures.
Pipe fittings: As part of STOPAQ® corrosion preventative coatings applied on pipe fittings like elbows, bends, tees, reducers and flanges.
CZHT Wrappingband
STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZHT is a high temperature corrosion preventing wrap material adhering extremely well to steel and plant applied pipeline coatings like PP, Liquid Epoxies and FBE.
STOPAQ® Wrappingband CZHT is a non-toxic, cold-applied, prefabricated wrap coating, based on a compound containing non-crystalline, low-viscosity, non-crosslinked (fully amorphous), pure homopolymer Polyisobutene. Due to its liquid nature, it has unique properties like cold-flow into all irregularities of the substrate and self-healing of the complete coating system.

Buried and immersed pipes: For protection against external corrosion of buried and immersed pipes, fittings and field joints made of carbon steel, alloy steel or ductile iron.
Above ground and offshore pipes and risers: For protection against external corrosion of carbon steel, alloy steel and ductile iron pipes, field joints and fittings exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions.
Corrosion Under Insulation: For protection against corrosion under insulation of thermally insulated pipes, field joints and fittings made of carbon steel, alloy steel pipes and ductile iron.
Pipe coating repair and rehabilitation: For repair and rehabilitation and protection against external corrosion of pipeline coating defects.
HTPP Outerwrap
STOPAQ® Outerwrap HTPP is a high temperature polymeric tape that is an integral part of STOPAQ® non-crystalline low-viscosity coating systems that further comprises STOPAQ® Wrappingband. STOPAQ® Outerwrap HTPP provides protection of the coating system against mechanical forces like impact, indentation, and shear. Furthermore, it provides circumferential compression to STOPAQ® Wrappingband, thereby accelerating the bond to the substrate and also supporting self-healing of the coating.
STOPAQ® Outerwrap HTPP is made of a radiation cross-linked high density polyethylene backing (HDPE) and a cross-linked elastomeric adhesive, provided with a release liner for proper unwinding of the roll. STOPAQ® Outerwrap HTPP is a highly flexible UV-resistant tape that also has good resistance to various chemicals.
Buried and immersed pipes: As Outerwrap tape on corrosion preventative STOPAQ® Wrappingband, applied on buried and immersed pipes, fittings and field joints made of carbon steel, alloy steel or ductile iron.

DIRAX
The DIRAX system is a wrap-around heat shrinkable sleeve reinforced with fiberglass. DIRAX is designed to protect girth welds against corrosion and is the optimum joint protection for PE and FBE coated pipes used in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD-Pull Through) applications. The reinforcement gives the backing greater wear resistance.
It consists of a three-layer system:
During installation, epoxy is applied to the prepared pipe surface and the heat-shrinkable sleeve (DIRAX) is immediately wrapped around the joint over the wet epoxy. Heat is then applied to the sleeve, which shrinks to form a tight fit around the joint. While curing, the epoxy forms strong mechanical and chemical bonds to the pipe surface & to the copolymer adhesive layer. The radiation cross-linked outer layer forms a tough barrier against mechanical damage and moisture transmission. A wear cone is then applied over the leading edge of the sleeve.
